Temotu public library project is nearing completion.

The project located in the heart of the provincial center Lata began in early 2016. Speaking to editorial team, Mr Bruno Forau, Chief Planning Officer reported the project-experienced difficulties during its implementation. "One major drawback was on the delay of Provincial Capacity Development Fund in 2016 and 2017 and the method applied for procuring labor and materials" said Mr Forau. He however stressed, despite these challenges, works on the project is continuing until it now nears completion. This infrastructure project when completed will provide students, teachers and the public access to library services, promoting academic and research skills. The project is funded by Temotu Provincial Government through PCDF under its education sector category.
